WATFORD have made an embarrassing ticket gaffe – by spelling Graham Taylor’s name wrong.

Taylor is regarded as the greatest manager in Watford’s history – even having a stand named after him at Vicarage Road.

But despite his legendary status at the Premier League club, it still hasn’t prevented a mistake being made.

The Hornets printed a batch of tickets for their Carabao Cup tie with Coventry next week as they reduced prices for the game.

Yet no-one in the ticket office failed to spot they had made an error in the name of their late boss.

For when they were sent out to fans, the tickets were for seats in the “Grahham Taylor Stand”.

And by the time anyone noticed it was too late to stop hundreds landing in the hands of supporters.

Taylor, who died two years ago aged 72, took Watford from the old fourth division to the top flight during a ten-year spell in charge.

He also led the club to the FA Cup final in 1984, where they lost 2-0 to Everton.

Watford take on the League One club on Tuesday as they look to book a place in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The Premier League side have slashed prices to just £10 for an adult.
